Vinalhaven Land Trust works with landowners, the town of Vinalhaven and other construction organizations to protect habitats, water resources, and scenic and historic spaces on Vinalhaven. We provide year round educational opportunities through educational programs offered in every grade from K to 12 and a series of walks and talks open to the public. Almost 15 miles of trails are available to the public for hikes and nature watching.

Vinalhaven Land Trust promotes the conservation of our island's significant plant and wildlife habitat, our water resources, and scenic and historic spaces in order to preserve the traditional character of the community for generations to come.

The Vinalhaven Land Trust was incorporated in 1986, and maintains an all year office on Sands Rd, Skoog Park.
